Breathe - Escape - Survive
AirForLife® is a purpose-designed emergency escape device that provides the user with a self-contained oxygen supply (22 litres) to aid in the escape from incidents such as an indoor fire or terrorist gas attack. In the event that escape is not possible, the device enables the user to safely breathe for a more prolonged period whilst awaiting rescue by the emergency services. To help plan for potential evacuation scenarios, Air for Life canisters can be purchased as part of a kit. These kits are supplied as singles or doubles for one or two-person evacuation.
What is AirForLife?
AirForLife® is a patented emergency escape device that provides the user with a self-contained oxygen supply (22 litres).
It gives the user a valuable oxygen supply in a situation where their oxygen supply has been significantly reduced or has become contaminated, for example during a fire, gas leak or terrorist attack.
The AirForLife® device enables the user to breathe for a more prolonged period of around 10 - 12 minutes, giving them time to escape or to be rescued and reducing any potential respiratory damage or failure, thus reducing the loss of life.
This product is for anybody who works or lives in a confined area, where access to the outside world in the event of an emergency may not be a quick process. For example, workers/residents who work/live in high rise blocks. Staff or commuters working/travelling underground.
AirForLife® would also benefit those less able or unable to evacuate themselves from an emergency situation, giving them valuable extra minutes. This could be from their place of residence or a commercial building depending on the situation at the time.
How does it work?
- AirForLife contains a patented, specially treated activated carbon that is purposely designed to store a much larger volume of oxygen than otherwise can be held in a canister of the same size
- Enables the escape period to be three times longer than similar-sized devices
- Uses pure oxygen which can be released as and when the user requires to breathe, further extending the time available to escape or survive
- Incorporates twin carbon filters to help purify the smoke-filled air
