Eye Protection
When Should Eye Protection be Worn?
These products are designed to prevent foreign particles such as chemicals, debris or liquids from entering the wearer's eyes and causing permanent damage to their vision. Some of our eye protection solutions come with added benefits such as anti-mist, impact resistance, UV protection and anti-scratch.
You can wear our products in the workplace, on a building site, in a factory or even at home depending on where the threat to your vision is occurring.
Of the thousands of eye injuries that occur in the workplace, around 20% result in partial or full blindness. Common causes of eye injuries include chemical spillages, radiation or flying glass, wood and metal.
Forms of Eye Protection
Safety Glasses: Safety glasses are able to shield your
eyes from impact hazards. These glasses have increased protection and include features
such as anti-scratch, anti-static and anti-fog.
Safety Goggles: Usually enclosed, safety goggles surround
the eyes. Safety googles are often worn whilst operating drills and power tools.
Face Shields: Face shields aim to protect the entirety of the wearers face.
