Protection Against Class A, B & C
Flame Retardant Against Ignition, Convective Heat and Radiant Heat
Full body, two-piece fire retardant protection must be worn to achieve EN 11612 standards. These standards are set for industry professionals such as electricians, industrial workers, miners, rail workers, welders and maintenance. At minimum, our fire retardant garments are covered by class A, B and C standards which limits the spread of the flame, protects against heat passage and protects against radiant heat. The number which follows the conventional letter indicates the length of time that the garment can undergo the heat stress being put onto it.
- Class A - Limited Flame Spread
- A1 - Surface Ignition
- A2 - Edge Ignition
- Class B - Protection Against Convective Heat
- B1: 4-10 sec, B2: 10-20 sec, B3: 20 sec or more
- Class C - Protection Against Radiant Heat
- C1: 7-20 sec, C2: 20-50 sec, C3: 50-95 sec, C4: 95 sec or more
